In Matthew 28:18(KJV), after his resurrection from the dead, Jesus asserts his Lordship to his disciples by saying , “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Authority means power.
Jesus is Power ! In other words ALL Power – the power of choice, the power of life, power over death, He holds absolute, supreme authority over all of creation. His “liberty” refers to the spiritual freedom He brings—releasing humanity from the heavy burdens of sin, spiritual oppression, and the strict demands of religious law. What is spiritual oppression? Spiritual oppression refers to a sustained, external pressure or influence that weighs down on an individual’s mind, emotions, and will. The Power of authority influence, the Power of rule or government over all heavens, earth, and hell (the entire universe). The Power of Him that everyone must obey His commands, specifically the Power of judicial decisions, one who possesses authority, a ruler, a human magistrate, power of spiritual potentates. What is spiritual potentates? A spiritual potentate is a powerful ruler in the spiritual world.
Let’s break the words down:
- Spiritual = relating to the spirit or the unseen spiritual world.
- Potentate = a ruler, king, or someone with great power and authority.
The enemy uses everything God creates and makes his “temu” / own version out of it. Cheap cheesy version of something that’s worth much more. For example the word power. JESUS name is Power. But, do we stay connected to the Power ? What I don’t get is if our phone is dying we will make it your business to find a charger so it doesn’t die. In the same way our phones need to be charge by power so it doesn’t die we need to stay charged to by our Higher Power Jesus Christ so we don’t die spiritually.
scripture reads: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:23 (KJV)
You charge the phone everyday for power and depending on who you are you might even stand there next to the plug while it’s charging so that you can keep some power. We will do this for just a phone. It is priority for us to do this for our lives.
Here is a scripture that tells us the importance of staying connected to Jesus Christ our Higher Power.
Scripture reads that : “Stay joined to me, and I will stay joined to you. Just as a branch cannot produce fruit unless it stays joined to the vine, you cannot produce fruit unless you stay joined to me. I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you stay joined to me, and I stay joined to you, then you will produce lots of fruit. But you cannot do anything without me.” – John 15:4-5 (CEV)
Read the cross reference Daniel 7:13–14 ALL power belongs to Jesus. Every kind of power—on earth and in heaven—has been given to Him. Power over heaven.
Power over earth. Nothing is outside His reach. Nothing is outside His control. And He uses it with love. When we talk about Power, we don’t mean force or control.
Nothing is out of His hands.
Nothing you’re facing is too big for Him.
So you don’t have to carry everything alone
